I agree with extra classes that gives more emphasis on life skills, because students could easily use the Pythagorean theorem in everyday means. Your third point is really important, because if the teacher is incompetent, they are disrupting the education of the children who would lead the the world one day. Additionally, good teachers should receive more pay as well.

I feel like we really need to learn how to do taxes and others life skills. High school should not only prepare us for colleges but it should be able to prepare us for life because colleges is already a life experiences in the adult world. We can add life skill classes as an electives. This way students who don't like to be adult yet can have others fun. Skills of independence and adulthood shouldn't be forced to learn we learn by our-self

#2 is definitely important. We don't understand how to function in society when we hit 18. School should teach us things that we actually need when we grow up. Many may say parents need to teach us, but my parent's English is not the best and it creates some barriers. I am not fluent in Cantonese either so I can't explain or ask questions in detail.

I completely agree with all 3 of these. Standardized tests do not help the students in any way, as they are going to forget all the information as soon as it's over. The school system has not changed much in general, but more so student's performances within classrooms. Currently, pollution is going down due to less cars on the streets, and we can also conserve energy to keep changing the Earth for the better.

I agree that standardized tests should be removed. Many students stress out a lot when there is an upcoming test. Since, tests make up almost half of your grade or sometimes more than half, students know that they can't fail or else their final grade will drop. For some people, tests are just not their thing. No matter how hard they try they just can't memorize the facts. Tests make us all anxious and stressed out. Some even get lack of sleep being too nervous!

I definitely agree with you on school beginning too early, but I, on the contrary, actually enjoy going to school early. I think that I more time to do what I enjoy in the afternoons. Better management would also be a good change, as it is hard to get in or out of the school, due to traffic. To combat this, parents usually drop students off far from the entrance and let the students walk the rest of the way.

I strongly agree with you about school starting too early. With students nowadays staying up to 1 am in the morning to finish work, waking up at 7:00 am or earlier just to attend school is absurd. I believe that schools should start in the afternoons, where students are more energetic and attentive. Personally, I often fall asleep in my first class due to the lack of sleep and because of that, I am not able to learn anything throughout the class.

Allie Scanlan. I really like the idea of changing up the lunches a bit. Coming into high school, I heard they offered things like ramen, nachos, pho, and sushi for lunch, and that got me really excited because that sounded so much better compared to my middle school lunches. However, i guess everyone forgot to mention that in high school the lunches were ONLY ramen, nachos, pho, and sushi, pretty much for the entire school year. Although one may prefer these dishes to those that we received in middle school, I'm sure we have all reached a certain point to where we feel tired of the same options provided in high school lunches. I do so much that I miss my middle school lunches, where only one meal option was served for the day, but meals were different for the entire month, or even two months.

Toby, this is very relatable. Once I went to an office to pick up an item, the office lady yelled at me without listening to me telling her that she has mistaken me for another student. "I GAVE YOU THE FORM FOR YOUR PHONE!!!!! TELL YOUR PARENTS TO SIGN IT!!" Once she stopped yelling at me, I told her she mistaken me and she didn't even say sorry. How rude. I agree to the idea of offering summer school classes for free. Maybe they can even charge it at a lower cost. Some students like to go ahead and take classes in the summer so they can pick another class they like during the regular school year, but because they can't afford it they are unable to. A few people I know can take summer school for free when most of us have to pay because of a mistake made when enrolling, which is not fair. Also, when we pay for summer school it feels as if we are paying for our grade.

I agree with you. Palm Court most definitely needs more seating. Sometimes I see students sitting in the sun because of he limited seating. However, each year, students come and go, so the amount of students will be around the same each year. Moving on to the vaping situation, I strongly believe that vaping is indeed a huge problem. The school should do more than just show a video about why vaping is bad because that obviously is NOT working.

I agree with your grievance on vaping as I also believe this to be a big problem at not only Keppel, but many other high schools as well. I agree with #2 as extra curricular activities are important and homework is mostly review of what we learned in class that day. Extra curricular activities can help students in several different ways such as raising esteem, helping kids stay active, teach teamwork, and overall just let individuals express themselves showing what they love to do. But because of homework we have less time for these actives which keeps us stuck at a desk staring at computer and sitting for hours.

I agree with all three of your cahiers, espeacially #1. Getting that latter start in the school day will really effect the students for the better. For one, in the mornings school usually starts at 7:31 sharp bu students are still half asleep! Therefore, making it harder for students to comprehend what is going on in the lesson and harder to participate. Another benefit to starting school later is getting those few extra minutes of rest. There's no variety of foods, whatsoever. From a past experience, I could recall a time where I was late to lunch, and all there was only peanut butter and jelly sandwiches being, and of course I couldn't eat lunch that say due to being allergic to peanuts. I believe that school should also have allergy-free foods, as well. 1. The schools should have more seating for students to eat at during lunch as there are dozens of students that are forced to eat on very unsanitary floors and they are at a higher risk of getting sick as a result of that. This also unconsciously encourages students to skip eating lunch because they don't want to sit on the hard concrete flooring.
